Scanmix AQUASTOP 650

Scanmix AQUASTOP 650

Waterproofing mixture for walls of basements, deep and underground structures, swimming pools, balconies, open terraces and operated roofs, as well as tanks, wells, collectors when capping joints and sewer pipes.Treated surfaces can withstand water pressure of several atmospheres. Possesses good adhesion characteristics; after reaching the nominal strength level of the waterproofing composition and its complete hardening, the surface is suitable for subsequent processing, painting, tiling, etc.

  • Hardens rapidly
  • Withstand high water pressure
  • User-friendly
  • No shrinkage
  • Frost resistant
  • Does not burn
  • Environmentally friendly

PREPARATION OF THE BASE:

Before applying a waterproofing solution, it is necessary to mechanically clean the surface from old plaster and paint, clay and silty layers, oil and bitumen stains, etc. Dry surfaces must be moistened to the point where subsequent absorption of water into them ceases before the application of the waterproofing coating. Due to the loss of moisture in the process of gaining strength, the waterproofing properties of the composition can be significantly reduced. Excess water from horizontal surfaces must be removed. Weak surfaces that absorb water intensively must be primed. Otherwise, in the future, the waterproofing coating may peel off together with the weakened layer.

PERFORMANCE OF WORK:

Mix with water in the proportion of 0,18-0,22 l of water per 1 kg of the mixture until a homogeneous dense non-spreading mass is obtained. Excessive water added to the mix can reduce the performance of the waterproofing barrier. After a 5-minute exposure, the finished solution should be mixed again. The solution is applied to a previously prepared surface using a hand tool or mechanized method (if special equipment is available). On the surface, the solution is leveled with some effort in order to increase the adhesion of the material to the treated surface.

NOTE: To increase the adhesion of the waterproofing mortar to weakened surfaces to be treated and to reduce the water absorption of the base material, it is recommended to pre-treat the surface with SCANMIX primer. In special cases, it is recommended to lay the waterproofing layer on the plaster mesh. The amount of prepared mortar should correspond to the performance of work when laying a waterproofing mortar of the required thickness and quality. Under normal conditions, a freshly prepared solution should be used within 30-40 minutes. Only the laid material should be periodically moistened with water or covered with a protective film during the first time of hardening. It is especially important not to allow the material to dry out at this time in hot weather and in drafts. The setting time is calculated for a temperature of 20 ° C, and a noticeable change in temperature can significantly affect the setting time of the waterproofing material. The dissolved waterproofing mixture is applied in at least 2 layers. The second coat should be applied over the hardened, but still damp, previous coat. The thickness of the waterproofing layer must be at least 5 mm. Waterproofing is applied to the prepared surface with a trowel in 2 layers in transverse directions, with an interval between layers of at least 24 hours. In bathrooms, in addition to the floor, it is recommended to apply waterproofing to the walls – approximately 5 cm from the floor.

The manufacturer is not responsible for the incorrect use of the material, as well as its use for purposes and conditions not provided for in the instructions.

SAFETY PRACTICES:

Do not pour mortar and water into sewer pipes after work. It is advisable to wear rubber gloves. Avoid contact of the solution with the skin or eyes. In case of contact with the skin or eyes, rinse thoroughly with water, since the mixture contains cement, which, when mixed with water, forms an alkaline medium.

SHELF LIFE:

In dry space and on pallets, in factory packaging: 12 months from the date of issue indicated on the package.
