PREPARATION OF THE BASE:

The mortar can be applied to concrete, cement, brick surfaces treated with SCANMIX TT mortar, plasterboard and other building boards. The surface to be treated must be flat and solid, free of dust, dirt, grease, oils and other substances that weaken adhesion.

PERFORMANCE OF WORK:

The mixture is added to water and mixed mechanically until the desired consistency of the solution is obtained. After 5 minutes, the finished solution should be mixed again. The solution retains its properties for approximately 4,5 hours. It is recommended to mix the solution from time to time in order to obtain a uniform mass. The mortar is applied to the base by hand with a metal float or a slicker and leveled. After setting, the surface is rubbed with a damp felt float. The mortar is applied to the base by hand with a metal float or slicker and leveled. After setting, the surface is rubbed with a damp felt float. The solution applied to the surface shall be protected against rapid drying and direct sunlight.

RECOMMENDATION:

When mixing a large volume of solution, it is most efficient to use a low-speed drill (with a rotational speed of not more than 600 revolutions/min) to prevent the dissolved mixture from being aerated. In external operations, the coated surface (mainly in hot weather) should be protected from too rapid drying by careful spraying of water throughout the solidification period. During the period of drying and setting of the solution, it must also be protected from direct sunlight and the influence of negative temperatures, and during the work to exclude the direct hit of precipitation; for this purpose, it is recommended to cover the scaffolding with a special mesh or film, and install drainage systems on the building! The work should be performed at a base temperature of +5°C to +30°C. Under other conditions, the drying time and “breaking” may differ from this. In addition to the above-mentioned information on the use of the material, it is to be applied in accordance with the regulations in force in Building regulations 3.04.01 to 87 and State Building Norms of Ukraine V.2.6 to 22-2001. The use of the material is not difficult provided that the rules set out in this technical description are met. If the material is used under other conditions, the test or advice of the manufacturer is required.

The manufacturer shall not be liable for improper use of the material or its use for purposes and conditions not provided for in the instruction.

SAFETY PRACTICES:

Do not pour mortar and water into sewer pipes after work. It is advisable to wear rubber gloves. Avoid contact of the solution with the skin or eyes. In case of contact with the skin or eyes, rinse thoroughly with water, since the mixture contains cement, which, when mixed with water, forms an alkaline medium.
