Scanmix STANDART Winter 113

Glue for tiles on internal and external surfaces of buildings. Allows to perform works at a temperature up to -10ºC. The mortar is used for gluing (outside or inside) ceramic tiles, glass mosaics, wall or underlay clinker tiles, as well as tiles made from natural or artificial granite(or other products with a minimum absorbing quality of less than 3%) on load-bearing deformed bases such as concrete, brick, plaster, drywall. Due to its increased elasticity and adhesion, 113 SCANMIX STANDART winter mortar is recommended for laying tiles on old ceramic surfaces, on the remnants of old adhesive or mineral mortars, on the remnants of old adhesive or mineral mortars, it can also be used for masonry or block masonry with thin joints. Stable on vertical surfaces. Waterproof and frost resistant. For very large tiles (more than 30 * 30), or with a heavily profiled bottom side, it is recommended to apply mortar to the tile to prevent the appearance of voids.

PREPARATION OF THE BASE:

The substrate must be dry and sound, free from dust, dirt, lime, grease or paint stains. Weak layers must be removed. Treat all substrates 1-2 times with SCANMIX primer. Before laying tiles on an old ceramic surface, the latter must be degreased with caustic soda (1 kg per 10 liters of water) and washed off with clean water. It is also advisable to strengthen the base by breaking the netting “netting” on top of the old tile.

PERFORMANCE OF WORK:

The tile is not wetted. The adhesive solution is mixed manually or mechanically with clean water until a uniform consistency is obtained. After 5 minutes, the finished solution should be stirred again. The solution is applied by a thin layer to the prepared surface with the aid of a suitable serrated spatula (the size of the teeth can vary between 6 and 10 mm). Apply such an amount of mortar to have time to glue the tiles in 30 minutes. Due to the special qualities of the mortar, the laid tiles are fixed on the surface, and their position can be corrected within 10 minutes. After 48 hours, the surface can be used and the joints can be joined.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

In unfavorable weather conditions (high temperature, dry wind, direct sunlight), the time of use of the solution applied to the surface can be significantly shortened. To prevent this, it is recommended to moisturize the substrate surface or protect the surface from direct sunlight. With a decrease in temperature, the setting time increases.
When laying tiles on heated surfaces, it is necessary to warm up the floor with underfloor heating, and turn it off 1-3 days before work. Heating turns on 2 days after jointing.
Only cool water is poured into the mixture. The tool is washed with clean water immediately after use, the same is done with contaminated tiles before / after installation.
The manufacturer is not responsible for the improper use of the material, as well as its use for purposes and conditions not provided for in the instructions.
When working with the material, one should be guided by the current regulatory documents SBN 3.04.01-87 and BR V.2.6-22-2001. The use of the material is not difficult, provided that the rules in this technical description are followed.

SAFETY PRACTICES:

Do not pour mortar and water into sewer pipes after work. It is advisable to wear rubber gloves. Avoid contact of the solution with the skin or eyes. In case of contact with the solution, it is necessary to thoroughly rinse them with a large amount of water, since the mixture contains cement, which forms an alkaline solution with water.
