Facade mineral plaster «Barashek», used for creation of external and internal decorative plaster by hand. It can be applied on all even mineral bases, such as concrete, cement-lime plasters, plasterboard, as well as decorative protective layer in SCANMIX TERM «Warm House».Thanks to hydrophobic additives it has water-repellent properties and is resistant to environmental influences.

PROPERTIES:

  • Thin-layer decorative interior and exterior
  • Steam-penetrating
  • High adhesion
  • User-friendly
  • Frost resistant
  • Waterproof
  • Environmentally friendly

PREPARATION OF THE BASE:

The base shall be level, durable and dry, free from dust, dirt, lime, oils, fats, wax, oil residues and emulsion paints. The thinly held paint and plaster layers should be removed and the irregularities should be aligned with SCANMIX TT solution. The base should be treated with SCANMIX primer.

PERFORMANCE OF WORK:

The mixture is added to water and mixed mechanically until the required thickness of the solution is obtained. After 5 minutes, the finished solution should be mixed again. The solution retains its properties for approximately 1.5 hours. It is recommended to mix the solution from time to time in order to obtain a uniform mass. The plaster is applied to the prepared base by the thickness of the texture grain layer with the aid of a smooth stainless grater. The excess solution is removed and mixed in the bucket. In order to obtain the desired texture, different tools (rollers, brushes, graters, etc.) are used depending on the professionalism of the master. The time of open operation (the time between plaster application and solidification) depends on the absorption capacity of the base, the temperature of the environment and the consistency of the solution.

During plastering and drying, the treated surface must be protected from direct sunlight, wind and rain. Test (for this type of base and weather) the maximum surface that can be scaled in one production cycle (application and rubbing). The plaster must be applied by the method «wet on wet», not allowing drying of the shaded area until the next portion is applied; otherwise the joints will be visible.

Technological interruptions are planned with reserve (for example: in corners, bends of buildings, under water pipes, at color junction, etc.). The drying time of the plaster depends on the basis, temperature and relative humidity of the air, and is approximately 12-48 hours. During plaster application and drying, the minimum ambient temperature shall be +5°С and the maximum temperature shall be +25°С. If the application of the solution is followed by subsequent colouring, it is necessary to wait 4-6 weeks.

The manufacturer shall not be liable for improper use of the material or its use for purposes and conditions not provided for in the instruction.

SAFETY PRACTICES:

Do not pour mortar and water into sewer pipes after work. It is advisable to wear rubber gloves. Avoid contact of the solution with the skin or eyes. In case of contact with the skin or eyes, rinse thoroughly with water, since the mixture contains cement, which, when mixed with water, forms an alkaline medium.

SHELF LIFE:

In dry space and on pallets, in factory packaging: 12 months from the date of issue indicated on the package.

PACKAGE:

The dry mixture is packed in 25 kg paper bags.
